Risen Christ
In these years of creation and research, I have tried to tell with my jewelry, the story and experiences I have had the privilege of listening to in my travels and in my workshop. Since the beginnings of the Rosarium collection the word Medjugorje recurred often in the stories of many, with different nuances, convinced and not, however they reported a certainty, something happens there... I decided to go and from the very first trip my interest led me to see in Medjugorje a privileged, unique place, full of beautiful emotions. The Rosarium ring was certainly influenced by this place, but for years I let the enamel in my jewelry, be the soul of the collections, but coming back to Medjugorje I wondered which piece of jewelry best represented this experience. I had two certainties, the beautiful image of the Queen of Peace and the Risen Christ from the parish of St. James right in Medjugorje. Of the first I have already recounted abundantly, now instead I am particularly pleased with the first Crucifix in the Rosarium collection, precisely the faithful miniature of the Risen Christ of Medjugorje, which is the destination of an orderly and silent pilgrimage there, drawing so many by its evocative power, a Risen crucifix precisely, in the act of rising from that base of death and reaching toward heaven. This “movement” fascinated me so much that I wanted to bring it back in my crucifix, wearable like any cross around the neck, but with there characteristic of being able to unhook it and make it an object to be admired above one's bedside table in the intimacy of one's room, to be enjoyed, with its communicative power and the beautiful message of hope that it wants to tell, all of this out of clamor or sensationalism, intimate, personal, almost a traveling companion to whom one can dedicate the last goodbye of the day.... Here all this was what I brought back from Medjugorje and wanted to tell in this work.
